Bason Botanic Gardens, 552 Rapanui Road, is situated approximately 10 kms northwest of Wanganui City.

Bason Botanic Gardens is open daily from 8.00am – dusk.
The Conservatory Complex is open daily from 9.00am – 4.30pm.

The close proximity of the Bason to other gardens in the region and the nearby Mowhanau Beach is an added attraction. Some of the links to gardens and garden related sites are listed below. There are also other large gardens open to the public by appointment, like Westway and Seafield and others like Bushy Park Homestead and Reserve, a twenty minute ride from Wanganui.
